From Homeless Child to Ivy League Graduate: My Story

 

“At the age of 8, I lived with my younger brother and mother in a homeless shelter.  My experiences there opened a deep connection to God and a profound sense of responsibility for the world.   I vowed to live a life serving others.”   – Fatimah

 

Winner of Philadelphia’s Social Transformation Award and panelist at the Clinton Global Initiative Conference, Fatimah has spent 10 years developing a platform for eradicating poverty and forging new approaches the global shift from scarcity and abundance.  She has worked with entrepreneurs and organizations supporting management, development, and evaluation.

Fatimah is a Senior Fellow at Humanity in Action – an international human rights organization – and has worked with activists in the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia.   Fatimah has developed a network of leaders on the front lines of justice and support for all human life.
